Common questions about FHO+ hourly billing

For every 3 hours of direct patient care billed under Q310A or Q311A, FHO+ physicians can bill up to 1 hour of indirect care (Q312A) or clinical administration (Q313A). Combined indirect + admin hours must not exceed 25% of total monthly billed hours.
Divide your total weekly direct care hours by 3. If you bill 30 direct care hours in a week, you can claim up to 10 hours of indirect care and clinical administration combined — subject to the 25% monthly cap. The FHO+ tracker calculates this automatically as you enter your hours.
Four codes under the 2024 PSA: Q310A (direct care, $80/hr), Q311A (telephone care, $68/hr), Q312A (indirect patient care, $80/hr), and Q313A (clinical administration, $80/hr). All are billed in 15-minute units. The health card number field must be left blank.
Exceeding the 25% indirect + admin monthly cap can result in MOH rejecting your entire monthly time-based billing submission — not just the excess hours. Accurate weekly tracking is essential to protect your full monthly income.
Yes. The monthly cap is 240 hours per 28-day billing cycle (pro-rated at 257.25 hours per 30 days). There is also a daily cap of 56 units (14 hours) for any combination of Q310A–Q313A codes. The tracker flags both daily and monthly cap breaches automatically.
